BBC News Channel Presentation - 21/03/16 onwards

Has the News Channel began simulcasting with BBC Arabic for the 05:00 hour at weekends?

I'm going to guess no, but you probably need to give some context with that question.

BBC Arabic? I don't believe they have unless there is a particular news story that BBC Arabic is covering extensively and even then, they would just bring on a correspondent.

The description for the 5am hour on the schedule page of the BBC website now states 'The latest news from the BBC in Arabic.' http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09sclg5

Just because it's on the description doesn't mean it's right. And I don't think them broadcasting an hour in Arabic would make much sense (and would send the Daily Mail and co into meltdown!).

It would almost be worth it just to see that happen.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it a little distracting during the Studio Pan when a Presenter has their Bag in view?

No. Simulcasts the Victoria Derbyshire programme between 9 and 11.
