Newsnight now failing to play out on the News Channel.

Ben Brown not finishing as early as he hoped! Although I suppose the presenter would have to be on standby in the studio anyway incase something like this occurred?

It's eventually started ten minutes late - presumably to hit the TOTH and join World News somewhere along the way they're going to have to make up time, probably by just cutting off the end of the programme.

There's a *lot* of background noise on Jay Wynne's weather (a couple of minutes ago now, I've built up a bit of a YouView delay).

Didn't see a cheek mic on him (or whatever they're really called).

Keep it down!

It appears on Monday week according to digiguide There is no Newsnight repeat and the second edition of The Papers is back

11:15-Sportsday
11:30-The Papers
11:45-Meet The Author

Bizzarly it goes back to normal for the rest of the week but it does make you wonder whether they should have gone with the above in the first place.

Well Monday 30th would be a bank holiday so there would be no edition of Newsnight - but I think you're talking about the 23rd?

The countdown failed to play into the six o'clock news just now - there was a freeze frame at 57:00 (despite it being only 10 seconds or so before 6pm)

Yes i am referring to the 23rd but yes this means at least 2 Mondays without the Newsnight repeat.

My EPG has Newsnight listed in it's usual Monday night News channel slot for the 23rd.

You're right about Digiguide not showing Newsnight on the 23rd. It does however say the second edition of The Papers is a repeat.

It may be because Newsnight is extended on BBC2 to a 65 minute slot.

Your EPG shows more than 7 days?

If they drop the repeat everytime it is extended it makes a mockery of the justification they used for the repeat (though we knew that was silly anyway)

Precisely-they should have stick to what i posted yesterday (but with the 11:30 Papers not as a repeat). At this rate they will end up getting rid of the Newsnight repeat if this continues.

Last night no simulcasted national BBC News bulletin on the News Channel because of Eurovision overrunning. Has this happened before?
