Wrong. Afternoon Live’s tweets are keyed. So if the camera moves they remain in the same place on screen.
This is fully tracked Augmented Reality using the tracking data from the Furio cameras straight into a Viz engine and they keyed over the top of Camera. For the tech geeks this adds 4 Frames of delay so Mosart flips the audio desk into ‘delayed’ mode and all the non augmented cameras are delayed by the same amount so lip sync is maintained.
It then puts it all back together under the closing titles.

Do the cameras report their own positions, or do they have markers on them which are tracked from special IR cameras, like in a motion capture studio? I assumed the latter, given the little wobbles.

I assume there's a rough (you can see it doesn't quite line up) 3D model of the studio being manipulated by the same data to provide keys for the desk and reflection?

No there is no motion capture tracking in that studio - it’s all done by the camera reporting it position back to the engine.
And yes, E has been modelled to allow for reflection and desk position. The slight imperfections come from lens distortion, even though we’ve tried to minimise this as much as possible.

The full page shots at the start, need a bit of perspective adjustment, otherwise it looked very slick.

This looks neat but I feel like it may get old fast. I’ll have to wait until someone posts a video for a full opinion. One thing that needs to be done is to paint the floor to rid it of some of the skuffs, maybe make the spike tape smaller and see about covering those joints (the open lines) on the rostrum.

Are all the cameras connected to the Mosart engine or is it only one?

I'd like those over the shoulder inserts to be used in regular bulletins too. (Apologies if someone has already said that........).

Yes, I was just going to say that.

Welcome to Glasgow.

Why does Reeta Chakrabarti say PLARSTIC? It's annoying.

Better not watch Steph deliver the business news on Breakfast, then. You'll be livid.

You're not the only one, I would like to see over the shoulder graphics used as well, and don't apologise even if someone else has said it before. Heck, I would prefer OTS graphics to pictures on a screen.
