Like the live shot of Broadcasting House they have used today, it even pans and zooms. It's about time they made the most of their location.

I have seen this shot before, but it was always a recorded night one with the groundworks.

Is that from the remotely controlled camera, somewhere on The Langham opposite, that I can never quite locate even looking back at it from the steps of All Souls?

Poor monitor on the far camera...

Considering the main story, it's a pity Martine Croxall (who is from Leicester) isn't presenting The Papers tonight.

Off topic aside.....

Martine reminds me greatly (and vice versa) of Line of Duty actress Vicky McClure (who's also an East Midlands native) their voices and facial features are identical.

Just saying, move along now please.....

Looks like a regional truck was used for Martine's OB in Leicester as the upscaling was awful.

That's nothing, a CNN reporter got kissed on the face on Sunday in Leciester.

An unfaded mic may have just given viewers an insight into Matt Taylor's TV nerdiness. After his weather, and a quick flash of red globe, it was on to a promo for the Northern Ireland Election 2016 coverage (apparently featuring James Nesbitt's dad). As soon as the promo's logo appeared we heard Matt say "Ooh, is that a new one Peter? Ahhh..."

Something a bit odd went on in the studio during the lunchtime bulletin - Gavin was at the desk at the start, then stood at the video wall for the next link, which is normal.

After that though he was stood (not sat) in front of the normal newsroom view for one of the links, and then the next couple of links he was stood at the wall again but using the close up shot that just shows the BBC news animation - one of the cameras was also slightly in shot adjusting it's position.

By the close he was at the desk again. Presumably some of the camera positions went a bit wonky and they had to improvise!

It looks like that a camera feed pointing at the newsroom was put onto the plasma. But the link after it returned to the animating globe.
