And as it turns out we get our chance to find out since Victoria Derbyshire isn't back til Monday 8th January whilst the other branded programmes are all back on Tuesday 2nd.
DigiGuide shows the Newsroom Live brand being used 9:00-11:00 on BBC Two that week although normal hours on the News Channel, with generic BBC News instead of Victoria Derbyshire.
Interestingly the NC has back-half-hour Weather World scheduled for 9:30 on Tuesday 2nd, when BBC Two is supposedly simulcasting.
I was just having a browse of the screenshots on digitalbitrate.com and here is an aston from the same programme.
I also came across this, someone at the BBC had the bright idea to televise the Brexitcast podcast to use as News Channel filler, and don't they all look thrilled to be there...

I watched Brexitcast go out live on Facebook and they mentioned that it'd be on the NC and World as filler. There was a studio audience for it as well.

I think you just happened to pick the wrong moment. They all seem really interested (and geeky almost) about Brexit and there podcast comes across with humour and enjoyment.
Impact was the last show to come from B on Friday. 1600 onwards was BBC World News from C. Focus on Africa was also from C. Studio B is closed for Christmas for the usual maintenance and floor repaint.

Brexitcast is very popular, with the 'televised' version not a filler, but an experiment.
It wasn't designed to look like a proper tv show... that's not the concept behind it - but it works.
Well here's interesting branding for the "BBC News Channel"...
It was a production by BBC Yorkshire & Lincolnshire, who don't really seem to know the definition of on brand. Believe it or not, it's an improvement on their earlier efforts this year...
Making the same mistake, even with the (badly cropped) proper News Channel logo on it. Not to mention '0.30am' and the pointless 'Bank Holiday Weekend'.
