It’s a
05.00 or 17.00?
Rebranding a BBC World News slot at 05.00am to hook the insominacs, shift workers, and err..me would be an 'interesting' use of resources and time for very minimal reward.

The 5pm show on the other hand, for those bored with Pointless and The Chase, may be worthwhile..

It’s a GNL (Global News Limited) change.
But will have impact on Channel and BBC One.

There may not be long to wait going by something Sally Bundock said in reply to someone on twitter recently...
I suppose we'll see on the 30th as to whether this is the launch of the redesign (alternatively it could be that she is covering the News side on that day)

Is it going to be renamed The World Today again?

Very pleased people like Afternoon Live - we are very happy with it.

It would just be nice if it was on iPlayer Smile

It's a good show, pres wise the lower thirds could use a a few tweaks around the additional graphic on the far right, it either needs to blend into the strap a bit better or be treated as a box and make sure that the second line of text on the Aston does not stray into that area.

I think the Nationwide bit worked better today (and Monday) going to regional studios, the delay made it a bit awkward yesterday when Simon was trying to banter with an OB.
Write that down in your copybook now.

Thing is a lot of American breakfast news shows that start at 4 or 4.30am - I think many people get up at 5am in the morning so having something on that time tellywise might be an idea. Don't forget about Steve Allen's spike on LBC Radio...... Smile

Looks like the NC went straight into sportsday after the 6 this evening rather than the normal headlines and coming up this evening stuff.

I'm certainly finding BBC News Channel a lot more watchable these days whilst working than Sky News - they still haven't quite worked out that echo yet in their new galleria studio.

If they are about to re-brand evenings, surely that means Beyond 100 Days can't be long term (unless i'm missing the point.) and also the first thing to go needs to be the pointless Newsnight repeat.

Keeping Beyond 100 days and finding a way to fill the 10 minutes after sportsday would seem the easiest way to reduce the first part of the evening shift to allow them to stay on air till midnight.
