I thought the biggest shock was that VD was presenting her own show this morning.

The one time the monitor isn’t on in reception at work 😂

But back to Afternoon Live... can they trim the 0.5 second gap at the start of the headline bed on spot on, when it restarts for each headline sounds disjointed. #pedantic

It’s amazing that I only had the TV on at a low volume and could still hear this. I’m also glad that TV Forum exists so I’m not the only person that finds things like this annoying.

I thought the same thing!!!

Tangentially related question: is the ticker on the BBC Parliament - currently pointing viewers to the News Channel for live coverage from Spain - usually lower case?

Earlier it was mentioned about the programme bringing viewers news from the regions, it was meant to be in the 7-8pm slot but was delayed and now has Beyond 100 Days in that slot.

With Beyond 100 Days being an hour long, is there now an argument for bringing back the News at Nine?

Are the evening bulletins now going to be labelled “Evening Live”?

No but evenings are next on the list - after we’ve rebranded the 0500 .... watch this space.
Very pleased people like Afternoon Live - we are very happy with it.

05.00 or 17.00?
Rebranding a BBC World News slot at 05.00am to hook the insominacs, shift workers, and err..me would be an 'interesting' use of resources and time for very minimal reward.

The 5pm show on the other hand, for those bored with Pointless and The Chase, may be worthwhile..

Things have come on along way since 2009 I must say. Glad to see change has been embraced, Afternoon Live is excellent. If it helps attract a younger audience to the channel and see it into the next 10 years and beyond, it's a good thing.

It’s a GNL (Global News Limited) change.
But will have impact on Channel and BBC One.
