It looks bad but it's a proper headline unlike some along the lines of 'Why is the US dollar dropping?', 'This video is driving social media wild' or "Relive the moment [insert event]' and looks like it's more important than 'Disney princesses meet in real life'. It's a good thing 'Putting News First' on BBC World News has been dropped.

Or 'Boy trips over 1 million year old fossil'. Very Happy

Amused to see Ben Brown forgetting (?) to be in place at the "catwalk" at the TOTH at 11pm last night on the News Channel. There were a few seconds where you saw him quickly rising from his seat and then walking into view on the "catwalk" a few seconds after the titles played out.

However, nothing beats Simon McCoy's dash... Wink

Sorry but this will always be my favourite BBC News blooper, Nicholas Owen’s interpretative dance (completely failing at his attempts to get out of the frame)

Does the wrong weather forecast get played out often? I noticed before the first Outside Source last night that the world weather was shown and then repeated in its usual slot.

I know someone at an ITV station many years ago, who couldn't find the correct tape for the pre recorded weather forecast one evening, so he just stuffed in the previous night's one. No one phoned or wrote in to complain

Is it too much to ask for the NC gallery to engineer and cue an on location presenter out of the titles properly? The 4pm TOTH was a classic example of how it seems to go wrong all too frequently. It was a complete calamity with the long titles playing, a further 20 seconds of the globe spinning and the end tail of the music fizzling out which then faded into Ben Brown in Barcelona talking mid sentence.

I appreciate there's probably some logistics involved but Sky News manage perfectly fine as do most other news channels.

I think they manage it far more often than you think you'll only notice on the rare occasion when it doesn't quite work. It'll also usually be the director not an enginer giving the cue by the way, plus factoring in delays in the sytem from the satellite links and such.

Indeed the BBC have in recent years done so impressive OB's on national bulletins which involved very significant delays - almost undetectable to the viewer.

How long has Sportsday had this strap above the DOG? Not noticed it before:
