Weather being done from Salford (?) again this morning, based on the presenter being one normally on 5 Live as mentioned earlier in the thread. It's been done in-front of a screen rather than CSO, wonder where they're doing it!

Matt Taylor was in Salford this morning on BBC Breakfast, so maybe they are still using the BBC Breakfast/NWT studio?

The image I've seen of Simon King looked like the breakfast studio. Presumably they just lock off a camera at the end of the programme. Does this mean they've reduced a presenting shift by moving duties around?

Morning weather comes from Salford most mornings now. Has done for a couple of months I think.

No it doesn't . I see it just about every morning and Carol Kirkwood isn't normally in salford

As for this morning he was in the same studio as there was a shot at 645am approx with all three of them in shot

Where do the North West weather forecasts come from during Breakfast's regional opts? Maybe it's from there? (Very big guess)...

Think they're from the pan-regional hub in Nottingham along with EMT and Midlands Today.

That would explain why Simon King was doing the weather as he is based in Salford for 5 Live.
