And we're back, with an apology from Peter Dobbie for "Minor Technical Problems".

Minor!!! That was appaling

Must have been Mosart malfunctioning, at least the bbc can maybe learn what happened here, luckily this happened at 2am.

Which from BBC World's POV is prime time in America, {EDIT} Not a domestic news question, withdrawn.

Was BBC One showing its usual fault caption or a BBC News one? If it's the former, how did that get to air when, presumably, there's nobody in NC1 overnight?

There is (or at least, used to be) a couple of people in pres overnight - taking care of whatever's on overnight, plus prepping for the next day's programmes.

Wow, that's quite a breakdown.

Wow! That is one rather bad shift.

Edit: Ronant, for the record, I must have been typing my post at the same time you were doing yours, almost word for word.

Great minds think alike?

Oh look, it's off-topic but I'm just looking for an excuse to share the best combination of mistakes in a single news bulletin ever again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzOvc4XuFNc

Catriona Shearer has had her fair share of bloopers. This one also from BBC Scotland is rather amusing: http://youtu.be/MtsV8WvekcU

This shows that full automation doesn't work as well as semi automation as I've seen plenty of mistakes and failures in Studio C and E - from screens turning off and on again to cameras going mad, where as Studio B (and A) have had barely any mistakes.

Mosart doesn't do 'full automation'. It just does more automation than before.

Not too well it seems but we've only told bbc are pushing the boundaries with it, so stuff like this has to be expected.
