Is the recorded bar really needed for a program that is already recorded?

I suspect it might be burned on at the time of recording rather than added during playback, given that the recording is intended to be used when things have gone pear shaped you'd want playing it back to be as simple as possible.

The weather after the first showing of Click (just before 12) appeared to be live, or at least it didn't have the 'recorded' DOG.

Maxine Mawhinney has just tweeted again in the same thread where people are asking about the BBC News Channel being recorded and just ignored the questions.

It's curious that if World are live they haven't simulcast, and also surprising they haven't managed to rustle up a clock and ticker.

There was clearly a plan to simulcast but for whatever reason they decided to run with the recorded bulletin.
