Well, Ross Fitzpatrick tweeted a few days ago...
...and that can't be just because he's leaving the BBC.
Personally I hope they get rid of the 5. There are 2 hours every day, from 5pm-7pm of non rolling news. Crazy.

Just run it as another normal hour, rather than a scripted bulletin. Just in a different studio.
I'm guessing its business updates returning with Ben Thompson leading them.
I don't know how they could get rid of the 5 unless it is replaced with a Business bulletin? The 6 still need their rehearsal time.

It does look like it will be a return for business updates

For the hundredth time Ben has being doing regular updates on the NC since the move to BH. He is paid as a business correspondent.
Its very nice but its a u turn from BBC News as well because for so long they didnt want to do business to save money, but nice titles it has to be said, I presume the business titles was in the locker for quite a few months and finally unleashed today.

Yes, but they scrapped business bulletins to save money. Ben was normally focused on one story, now he'll be reporting on more. So as harshy says, this is a U-turn. Good news though that they've found a way of doing it.
Also a new view of the newsroom at the TOTH, with the camera looking up to higher floors, then panning down to the newsroom.
