BBC News/BBC World News Problems - 21st May

Because some of the studios are set up on different networks, to stop all the studios going down for the reasons displayed today?

I'm aware of the network separation. I would have thought though a camera derailing would have caused some disruption.

I suppose Karin Giannone will be back on World at the TOTH with World News Today.

I think it's solved. All returns to normal on Studio C. I hope that Newsnight will come as usual from Studio B.

Back to normal on NC from Studio E, Camera 1 is back on it's track!

Camera 1 has been back on track for a while now, it came off its track before Victoria Derbyshire I think. So they fixed it while VD was on.

BBC London going by my recording had no lower thirds during the bulletin, some pre-rec packages and two padded out interviews.

Hmm so this is why World News Today on iPlayer is showing the regular UK news?

Anyway, didn't something like this happen the other way round when Breakfast had problems some years ago and they switched the feed?

The building BBC Breakfast are based in at MediaCity was evacuated whilst they were on air one morning - before the 0757 regional opt I believe. I believe BBC Breakfast put BBC World to air while they were evacuated allowing them to easily regain control when they returned to the building.
