BBC News/BBC World News Problems - 21st May

No, that's incorrect... the 5 comes from studio C and the 9 from A.

SplIt from the two erstwhile mega threads.

World played a recorded edition of Impact instead of Global. Then the back half edition of Global was replaced with HardTalk. No headlines at the BOTH either.

Now World is showing the BBC News at 5 with Emily Maitlis from the virtual studio A.

Yes, the 5 normally comes from C. Whatever the problem is it's affected the C and B galleries as the News Channel in E was OK.

Not quite sure if Camera 1 really derailed today also.

Well, from what i see, the 5 is aired from Studio A

Aren't they normally a bit more accommodating for World News when the NC is in charge of a simulcast, dropping local time checks and leaving opt out points?

EDIT: Actually I think they might be being a bit kinder with the wording for non-UK viewers. I would assume at this point that most viewers in the UK would know who Nigel Farage is, so explaining that he is the leader of the UK Independence Party may have been for WN benefit.

No its not. I was correcting another poster who said the News at 5 comes from A normally, when it comes from C.

Not usually, it comes from C.

And it's a bit of a clunky bulletin so far.

It looks like World Will be taking The Six instead of Outside Source
