Missed the bulletin. Can anyone confirm who presented it in the South, and a request for a screencap as well. Ta.

Well, here - North West Tonight has had that new 'branding' since it relaunched in September, so it must be slowly being dealt out nationally.

I dislike the set of NWT.

It's not strictly the same branding although both are similar.

I quite like the swirl thing at the start. But why do we have different branding fo the update, as when the updates happen during the day, they have the news logo and music, which is different again. Will this new symbol be used in january or whenever BBC News moves about do we think?

Lara Rostron here in Look North got herself a bit flustered, she said "Hello heres our bulletin, the man who said a child was alive has turned out.. de..not dead" Rolling Eyes Anyway, Terrible set-up, would look much better in the corner of the studio, it looked quite good with the dimmed lights. I do like Kate though!

How has this been executed in Northern Ireland?

And has it meant an end to the UTV Live-style 30 second updates at 8pm and 9pm, or is the 9pm update still in place?

According to DigiGuide, NI are still doing a 9pm bulletin.

Only caught the end of the Scotland bit tonight, so can't confirm if it was just for 30 seconds or not. All I can add is that Rhona McLeod (very Kate Silverton-like, but usually is BBC Sport Scotland) presented and there was a weather bit.

If anyone was to take over from Jackie Bird (although I think Jackie will dawn our screens til she drops where they may then decide the programme needs a new look?) I would like someone like Rhona McLeod to take over as the news queen at BBC Scotland.

Incidentally, how long was Mary Marquis on Reporting Scotland?

Although BBC Scotland News viewers must not complain...this is the biggest development since Scotland was allowed to have colour productions when London allowed us to have them decades ago!
