Does this mean that the bulletin will make use of the sub regions? Would make sense considering the amount of time available.
Do we know what the format will be, is it going to consistently be for example, 50 - 50 split between national and regional or will some days there be no regional?

If you bother to read the detail of the BBC Jersey web item properly, it makes it clear that it will always be 60 seconds from London, followed by 30 seconds from the nations/regions.

I note that the circle in the corner looks suspiciously like the beacon of a lighthouse.

I was reminded of a white circle.

Yes, I agree. Or even the Six anchor would make sense too (as was previously the case).
It seems bizarre to have the 1pm anchor hang around for a further seven hours just to present a 2 minutes slot. What's the rationale, BBC??

Wouldn't it make more sense to use whoever is presenting the Ten? No extra staff would be required and most of the information will already have been prepared for the Ten so there wouldn't be much more work.
Alternatively couldn't whoever is on News 24 at 2230 present it?

It's a dumbing down thing. The last thing they want is a grey-haired man presenting a primetime summary.
It's all about connecting with people with short attention spans who wouldn't otherwise choose to watch a news bulletin.
If the writing is as terrible as the dumbed down Kaplinsky pilots, then I despair.
