Normally Victoria Graham does the South West bulletin at 8pm. Always looks kinda strange with the national presenter being seen as further away from the camera, and Victoria always looks like she's almost on top of you. It's a head and shoulders only shot.

That's the way it's designed - otherwise you'd have a jump cut with two similiar sized presenters but suddenly swapping sides.

Is it just me or has Ellie Crissell Presented with more that Mrs BBC News Kate Silverton?

Also who presents it in your region?

Rhona McLeod BBC Scotland Sports Presenter presents it in Scotland.

Is that all Rhona does now? Surely they don't get her in just for that? Haven't seen her present the sport or any packages since she started.

Yeah it seems thats all she does. Alison Walker and Dougie Vipond have been doing the sport on reporting scotland. So Rhona gets paid to do 30 seconds a day. Nice work if you can get it!

Have any regions gone against what seems to be the BBC policy and god forbid put a man over 50 in the 8pm slot?

Also, are Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all following the standard generic look too, or have they given it a bit more of a unique look?

Scotland has the generic look and the start of the summary has BBC Reporting Scotland in the now standard red and white colour scheme.

I think Rhona MacLeod is a compentent presenter and hope that BBC Scotland bosses do not pigeon hole her to this role alone. It seems pointless getting rid of journalists willie nillie and keeping her only for this job...time will tell.

Ive seen Rhona McLeod present the late night edition of Reporting Scotland on a Thursday night a couple of weeks ago, as well as the 8pm update.

I must have missed that...but that sounds good to me. As I say, she is the sort of predicessor to JB that is needed on Reporting Scotland. Let us hope that the line up and titles will be changed before the next millennium!
