Yes. In 1998 along with news bulletins.

Out of interest, did you record any footage from BBC World in the later flags era?

No, sadly.

For some reason, I feel that the 2nd flags era just became a "passing thought", and only a few gets to remember it and had the time to record it... especially BBC World.

Did it even last a year? Confused

Longer than a year - October 1997-April 2000 I think. It really is a shame there aren't more videos clips of that era of BBC World. Strangely there are lots on TV-Ark of the 1995-1997 period which was arguably less presentationally interesting. There's also several clips of 1991-1993 but absolutely none from 1993-1995.

When was 24 Hours axed? I knew Correspondent was still in 4:3 that time although others (including World News and TWT) had gone 14:9. Also when BBC World relaunched in 2000, the old DOG still appears during ad breaks and other 4:3 programmes. That only lasted a few months until the 14:9 DOG was then used on ad breaks.

Slightly off topic, but did HARDtalk kept the old 1997 look even after World relaunched in 2000? I think this was the first programme to air widescreen as N6 was in 4:3 when the National News used it then.

It's really a shame. I really want to see more of World during the flags, especially when they were still in N1. The only thing I see is some recordings that show they are in N9.
