Newsroom has loads of lights off at the moment, it looks rather dark, and the perspex in the second presentation area looks less translucent as a result. Signs of small changes for worlds move, or just a blown bulb?!

Is Maryam taking this in good humour, or was she "p!ssed-orf" by the lead anchorman??

If I remember seeing this live, I recall that there'd been banter going on throughout the afternoon and this was just one more instalment. I might have referred to it in a thread here at the time.

This is correct, there was banter in the previous hour too, Maitless, Sopel and Moshiri is a good combination for banter in the afternoons!

Have they been playing around with camera shots recently on BBC News 24. A few minutes ago they zoomed into the screen showing the start of Oddbox. When they came out they used the tractor cam, Tim was looking up to it and it zoomed out and tracked across to show the screen with Laura ready with the forecast.

I happened to see that today and I thought it was dreadful. It just left me confused and thinking 'what's the point of that?' It's quite clearly a filler full of random rubbish and a waste of time. I'd have much rather had a light hearted five minute discussion about something entertainment related.

Haha that was really fun. Not only does she retoer to Sopel, but then makes Emily Maitlis look like a fool! Classic. I wonder if her sister is the same over at AJE ... That Stephen Cole needs a good talking to now and then.

I was trying to remember what came before Odd Box. STORYfix was clearly better though. Shame it wasn't continued.

Oops - coming out of Click at 15.56 there we were treated to about 30 seconds of a breakdown caption (sorry no cap I'm afraid). Then cut to Maxine who seemed to say "It's 4 o'clock - the headlines on BBC News 24". She then did a usual top-of-hour but with no graphics.

Then the sting launched and we were right into the top story. When the clock appeared, it showed it was still 15.58.

Even now the astons are having probs, announcing Maxine to be the Health Secretary, and staying on screen when the Lib Dem Science spokesman appears. An Easter skeleton staff in, I assume.

I'm guessing there was a playout issue either with the weather or the trails - because it *was* 1558 when they finished the headline sequence, they just went to Maxine earlier than the top of the hour.

The aston though would just have been a mistake by the text person

Sorry, that's what I meant. I was just amused at her still saying "it's four o'clock" when it quite clearly wasn't.
