I'm not normally one to complain about things like this, because I know they're tricky to get right, but that opt-out looked awful - Tim siad goodbye to viewers 'here' on BBC One, looked down at the desk for a few seconds, then continued as though he hadn't said goodbye - making him look insane for a News 24 viewer who wasn't aware of the simulcast.

They often do this. Its a regular occurrence on World News Today, for BBC World to opt out for a break, and BBC Four to close the show and go to the weather.
Absolutely stupid wasn't it. "Bye bye". Pause. Continue as if nothing happened.
A good job Harry return around at 11.30am then as I guess if he'd arrived at 12noon it would have caused problems for the BBC1/News 24 simulcast as even though they were anchoring live from the scene, from what we've been told here I guess the gallery couldn't have played out one from the scene on N24 and one from the studio on BBC1 at the same time.
Am I the only person seeing the ticker bar significantly higher than usual?
I'm currently seeing enough of the ticker's lower area to make it comparable with 14:9 vision. The image cut out briefly for a few seconds about half an hour ago; I wonder if that's something to do with it. I've checked my TV, and it's still set-up fine for other channels.
