BBC News 24: 'Day-to-day' Presenter & Rota discussion

I love Joanna, it's great that she's back in her slot.

at 9:30, there was a different sting, no 24 on it. Also, Joanna said the latest world headlines, with no headline bed. No references to BBC News 24. When they cut to the studio, it wasn't N8. It looked similar to N9 (BBC World) but that isn't in the Broadcasting House. Tazmin was there as well with Entertainment 24.

Can someone explain why they are in there?

This was just mentioned in BBC News rebranding thread.

BBC News 24 are using BBC World's studio. I imagine that at the half hour the news summary was shown on News 24 and World and is therefore branded a BBC News summary as it is overnight.

Will they continue to use it for the rest of the evening, or will they move back to N8?

I was told that N9 wasn't in TV Centre. That obviously isn't true though.

Is there a reason for using World's studio? Is the Ten in the News 24 studio tonight?

I think it was just an overnight summary for BBC World. But why didn't they use N24 studio? What's wrong with that?

They could be having Ten in N8. We'll find out in 10 minutes.

The last time the Ten was in N8 it was done how it has been at weekends for the past few months - the N24 presenter using the left had pod just 10 minutes before the bulletin. This makes me wonder if something else is going on.....I'll probably be proved wrong at 10 though!

It's not in the *news* centre - it's a little further along.

They're in N9 for the 2130 back half. Takes lots of organising, so they're having a dummy run this week before doing it for real next week. It gives the Ten some rehearsal time. Sorry to burst the speculation bubble
