Far from modern and contemporary Rolling Eyes

He must have pissed off someone in wardrobe that day. But dressed more casually, they at least look like they belong in a newsroom.

The presenters should be allowed to have a more casual and friendly look, instead of all in suits, like they did when News 24 launched!
Although saying that the way the men dressed back then was horrible! Donned jackets aren't something worn lots in offices, which would surely be the idea behind it - to make it seem more 'real'...

What's wrong with these?

They're all horrendously unfashionable. Stick to the suits please!

I'm not sure I recognise him, but I'll take a guess. Is it Huw Edwards?

Laughing In his days as Chief Political Correspondent there. It's amazing that until he took over the Six in May 1999, he was relatively unknown. Just four years after that, he was lead on the Ten and thus the top presenter at BBC News.

Did he do any presenting before he got the 6? If not it was a hell of a jump, and gamble by his bosses!

To be fair how did most BBC1/ ITV anchors get there before the days of rolling news channels?

By being stand-ins, regional presenters etc. He went from nowhere to the main anchor of the most watched news programme!

And actually I can't imagine James Landale becoming the main presenter of the six tomorrow...

Did Huw do any relief presenting on N24, World or Nationals at all?
