Why the hell is Ben Brown still not on his proper slot? I cannot believe he does so much public speaking or something every night for 4 months! Move him back to evenings or move him back to reporting - N24 is a mess at the mo for presenters!

Man get a grip of yourself.

He's not beholden to you/
Frankly I just can't stand the man as a presenter - very good reporter and not as bad on the nationals, but I really can't stand him on N24.

My point was more a question - why is he still on afternoons or mornings or not at all while random reporters and workaholics Tim fill in his usual position?

Maybe they've changed the rosters and not told you. Shock horror Shocked

Seriously, though, I think there are better presenters on N24 than Ben Brown. I can't for the life of me understand why N24 decided to use him as a regular presenter - surely after the several years he did as an occasional relief presenter on BBC World, they must have realised what he would be like? His voice seems to go up and down as if he's singing all the time - obviously forced. I thought David Eades was a bit boring, too, when he started presenting but he's far better now on BBC World every morning - one of their best, in fact.

Ben Brown appears to be on his "usual" slot this evening.

Jane Hill on the afternoon shift today with Jon Sopel. Always thought they'd make quite a good partnership.

Tim Willcox was on for The World Today at 5am this morning, and now hes back. When does he sleep? Laughing

Don't know where or when he sleeps, but one would prefer if his security pass to the BBC World set was de-activated.

Doubt he ever leaves, so would be a waste of money!

I thought Jane & Jon were great! I'd love to see Jane move to present with Jon and Louise or a relief present with Matthew! Very Happy

But apparently the 'prime time' for 24 news channels is now thought of as being from 9am to 5pm - i.e. working hours, when the movers and shakers will be watching: politicians, newspapers, business. So 2pm-5pm is not a promotion.

So then move Jon to Mattew's slot. I just find Jane & matthew a bit boring sometimes - they can both have chemistry, just not with each other!

Are you kidding? Matthew and Jane are the longest running co-presenting team on News 24. Since I started watching the channel in 2000, they always presented the 1600-1900 shift before being separated a couple of years ago. Obviously, the BBC saw sense and reunited them. I'd hate for those two to be split up.

Can't the BBC just get rid of the fatty Maxine Mawhinney who seems to take up all the room; that's both on the rota AND the studio space.

A grossly inappropriate comment.

Your an idiot and your acting like a kid. She is a lot better than some people on there and one of the most experienced. Rolling Eyes
