I must admit I was watching 1 & N24 & noticing that the N24 presenters still appearing on the usual set very close to the BBC1 time & wondering 'Is BBC1 some how having a separate bulletin?'
Surely Chris & Anita are fairly well known to BBC1 viewers through their reporting anyway, so they could've done the simulcast anyway!
(or failing that swop the N24 shifts so the likes of Tim Wilcox or anyone who also broadcasts on BBC1 were there anyway, instead of bringing in a separate presenter just for 15 mins!)
What about the weather afterwards?
Jay Wynne on BBC1, while Susan Powell was on N24.
They were both saying the same thing at the same time!
Why didn't both channels cut to the one forecaster?
(I assume N24 was on tape, while BBC1 was being routed via presentation.)
I'm not sure about Anita, but Chris Lowe has definitely presented the weekend news recently. I have a feeling it was a Sunday 10 o Clock News some time last year.
When News 24 and BBC News move back to N6 are we likely to see the News 24 presenter present the weekend bulletins, are the longer evening bulletins likely to remain with a separate presenter?
The weather could well have been live, as there are two studios at the BBC Weather centre for television. Depends whether there was a live bulletin on World at the time.

Really naff handling of tonights late news for BBC One on News 24 just then. Just went straight into it without warning. You could also still see Anita sat there on the opening shot even though she is not part of the bulletin. Is this what the future of the BBC is going to be like? Cut & Shove bodge it jobs?
