1600 :: Drivetime. All the latest travel news for all those people who have News 24 in their cars. I think there's a massive audience for this one.
1900 :: Feet up. Relax by watching a man on a comfy chair watching Channel 4 News.

I bet however - that everyone who moaned on the original News24 thread about tedious comments on presenters and rotas etc will keep dipping into this thread . . . .
OK, I think it's time to get this thread actually going seriously. So which presenter do you like the least and why?
Apart from Sissons, who thankfully I'd imagine must be due to retire soon, I'm not a fan of Anitta McVeigh. I don't think she's a very good interviewer, I don't like her delivery, she has very little chemistry with Chris Lowe and generally appears quite miserable. Much better if she returned to reporting.
I do think n24 should have high calibre presenters. Recently they've had the odd reporter doing shifts and they just don't cut the mustard imho.
i also think its absolutely essential that presenters should not solely be used on bbc1. Fiona, Sophie etc should be doing more n24 shifts. They are paid way too much to be doing so little. Sian can't do any n24 as she does 3 hrs breakfast so i'll let her off the hook.

I like Chris, because he's got good authority, which I don't really think you get with Anitta.
Weekend Evenings with Chris & Anita are the least banter-fuelled few hours of News24. Even when there is Chris Eakin on his own he has banter with us the viewer!!
Don't understand why they keep these two together. Both are very good - but just not sat at the the desk together. Chris Lowe would be better on his own - should get Peter Sissons weekend afternoons????
on a different note - they's talking about 'flippers' and 'tickers' and how many seconds the theme tune rumbles along for on the 'OTHER' thread...... Y A W N !!!
Yes, I was having a quick nosy, to see if you were making a tumble weed out of this thread already, and flippin' heck, that was quick. In case you hadn't noticed, the 'boredom' you describe is exactly what this site is for, and if you don't like it, then I'm not sure why you joined up; you're privileged to be allowed your own thread on this site.
