Why have BBC News been using the News 24 studio recently? Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I can't find the relevant page in the huge BBC News rebranding thread. I'm sure I saw the BBC News desk had been updated last week, but what was the point if they were going to stop using the main studio?

Ok let me try explain this...

The usual BBC News Studio N6 is being refurbished for the upcoming rebranding, and being prepared for News 24 to move into it.

Until then BBC News is coming from TC7 home to Newsround, and Newsnight, but as this is in use during the One O'Clock news, they are using the News 24 studio N8, which will be home to BBC World when News 24 moves to N6, so N9 - the current BBC World set can be mothballed, all to save money and resources.

Am closing this thread as Martin has explained in his reply and it keeps things tidy(ish).
I've since 'hi-jacked' the opening post in the re-branding thread to include a brief summary of the changes occuring.
