Jon did do both programmes live. I believe he raveled from TVC to Heathrow on the back of a fast motorbike in order to get the plane to Paris.

Surely at the new environmentally conscious BBC he should be getting the Eurostar and not pointlessly flying across?! Can't be much quicker either, by the time you've got to Heathrow, checked in, taken off, got to Paris, got from CDG to the centre...

If you look at the Eurostar Timetable for Sunday, you will see that there is no way Jon could have made it by Train.

agreed.

by the way which studio had the real newsroom backdrop between 1999 abd 2003

N6 (The Breakfast, 1, 6 & 10 studio). The image was a projection but the studio is not far from the image that was shown.

Ah fair enough I suppose - but could he not have presented the Politics Show from Paris? Surely the French elections are a fairly important political issue?

Some terrible tech problems on N24. Sound is crackly, screen goes black, all graphics have crashed, cuts to studio shots of presenter mouthing and pointing and lookin in pain through the shouting in her ear! Ill upload a video later.

Yeah, here too. The whole picture with graphics, astons, everything, is rolling around like anything. Like an old analogue signal not tuned in properly, but it's rolling horizontally rather than vertically.

I originally thought it was just my poor signal causing the problems...

OOO! Everything's suddenly snapped back into place! A massive crackling noise and a pixelated screen and it suddenly bounces back to life as before! lol No apologies I see, though...hmm

Getting some video of her flailing her arms about would be priceless!

Strange... wonder why that contribution from the Mailbox was 14:9 rather than 16:9

And a lovely 55 second countdown at 6pm.

What a strange breakdown.

Contributions from the Mailbox are always 14:9 from what I've seen on N24

Think that quite a few regions still use their original "Dalek" newsroom cameras for N24 lives - which are 4:3 only. They were installed for the launch of N24 - and at that time cheap cameras were 4:3 only - and those are VERY cheap cameras...
