The clock appears to have been moved very slightly to the right. When I first turned it on I could only see the minutes, but now the second number of the hour has appeared on my screen.
PS: Not sure about the posting saying that News 24 is ARCed to 14:9 on Freeview. I'm watching it in 16:9 from Freeview...
Depends on the box. If it is set for display on a 4:3 set, AND it takes notice of AFDs, then the resulting image will indeed be 14:9 letterbox. Some Freeview boxes (not necessarily the cheapo ones) ignore AFDs and will display 16:9 broadcasts as 16:9 deep letterbox in 4:3 mode.

My box is set for 16:9 on a widescreen set and I'm seeing full width and height anamorphic pictures.
though not sure about that swirling out at the end of the titles - maybe it'll grow on me with this set, but never did on the previous one. Like the BBC News DOG on the national as itmatches nicely with 24 and world now

As it should. Set the box to feed a 4:3 set, and see whether you get a 14:9 or 16:9 letterboxed image.
