Just one thing noticable, on Freeview the channel is AFD'd to 14:9. And on my 4:3 telly, you get a little bit of the clock peeping through.

Just like Sky News, in 14:9, you can see part of the red button.

Well we have had the whole evolution not revolution since 1999. I do like the '2007' look. I look forward to the updated nationals. New headline bed after nearly 10 years maybe?!

Cheers for the captures of the titles - look quite beautiful going on them.

So is the breaking news strap double height? How does it animate? Does it alternate between BREAKING NEWS and the headline as before?

Yes but it isn't double height: but is very eyecatching

Thanks very much, but YouTube is blocked on my work PC. Any chance someone could describe how the breaking news aston is 'eye catching'. Sorry if I'm being a pain!

As I think has been mentioned, the live bug is way, way out of the safe area. It's not just near the picture edge, it's more than half off my screen. And interesting that the clock is designed so that 4:3CCO viewers don't see any of it at all! Personally, I think the clock and ticker sit too near the bottom of the frame too, but perhaps that's just personal preference.

PS: Not sure about the posting saying that News 24 is ARCed to 14:9 on Freeview. I'm watching it in 16:9 from Freeview...
