Not again! Have the BBC ever heard the phrase 'variety is the spice of life'? I'm sick of seeing Wilcox on N24 all the time. I wouldn't mind, but I don't particularly rate him, especially since the Saddam special.

By my reckoning, Tim has now done something in the region of 15/16 days continuously, including a marathon last Sunday - Politics Show BBC1 bulletin at midday followed by a 1-7 on News 24. He'll be on again as usual tonight, it can be assumed, as it's Friday.
Tim & Peter Dobbie are 2 of their best - I agree it would be good to see Peter back on News24, his late night slot used to be excellent.

Currently on N24 they have a supposed handwriting expert analysing the state of mind and personality of Faye Turney based on the letters she's written. It just seems to me quite absurd to bring in someone who practices something that I doubt is widely accepted as any actual barometer of someone's personality. Should we be drafting in psychics to make contact with the sailors as well, just to make sure they're ok? In fact, the whole diplomacy of this seems extremely píssy, with whole UN resolutions appearing to collapse because the wording is a wee bit too strong.

Anyone notice on wednesday night one of the reporters signed himself off as being in the ARABIAN gulf? I wondered for a minute where it was until I realised he really meant the PERSIAN gulf. Do the BBC think we are so thick that if they use its proper name that we'll think it implies it belongs entirely to Iran? (thus legitimising their claim the marines were in their waters)?

They need to sort out the 12pm Saturday bulletin.
At the moment the first 10 minutes is a simulcast with BBC1. Then at the end of the BBC1 shift the News 24 presenter says something like: "That's all for now. Join me back here at 5.10pm on BBC1". BBC1 opts-out, but News 24 sits there with her shuffling papers for five seconds. Then it carries on as if nothing happened.
Surely they could say something like: "The news continues on News 24, next on BBC1 is Football Focus". It would be a lot smoother.

Where have all the graphics gone on News 24???
EDIT: The BBC News 24 logo has just come back with no clock or ticker.
