Let's guess...
"That's all from Question Time for this evening, but switch over to BBC News 24 now where there's more behind-the-scenes clips, pics and goss with Question Time EXXXXTRA!!!!!!!!!! "
They could always follow Radio 4's example and have an 'Answer Time', as with 'Any Questions?' and 'Any Answers?'. That'd tick the audience participation box.
Actually, it wouldn't be the first time this has been tried:

Thank God nobody watches BBC News 24 (except for Virgin Media subscribers). The station caused its viewer in the international currency markets a couple of minutes of blind panic yesterday when it interrupted a worthy piece on Bollywood to flash up news that "interest rates to rise by quarter of a per cent".
That little gem came at 11.55am, just before the official announcement from the Bank of England, meaning at least three people started wondering if the Beeb had broken the strict midday embargo and the Bank was taking drastic action.
Five minutes later, however, and a story "revealed" the rate was unchanged, leaving presenter Jane Hill to apologise for "the earlier confusion," before adding: "We may have caused alarm to anyone with a mortgage." Not something that affects many staff at the Beeb.

Haven't seen Rachel Schofield on News 24 for months now. Does anyone know where they've disappeared to?

That Nicholas Owen is good isn't he?
Just had a bit of breaking news which he just read out off of the autocue like it was just another story. The only way you could tell it was breaking news was the strap.
What happened to the breaking news sting by the way? Have they used it since the first few days of the new graphics?

I seem to remember this happening with the 2003 era sting, from about 2005 onwards I think it became quite rarely seen.

The old sting (technically a splash - the globe briefly appearing on screen) fell out of regular use around 2005, but was officially replaced on the first day of the new graphics. Now the strap appears and a short musical sting is used - it's a real shame that the sting doesn't lead into a bed as that's what the sting sounds like.
