Carrie is currently over in China where she has been filing some reports ahead of the Olympics in 2008. Carrie may also have been doing some work for BBC World, although that is just a possibility.
Just a qiuck question. Has anybody seen Carrie Gracie on News 24 recently? I haven't seen her for months!
She was on Tuesday morning, i don't know about other days this week. I remember when Breakfast showed trailed N24 with a shot of the studio, it caught Simon trying to steal the newspapers off Carrie. They obviuosly realised that they were on camera, as when it began Carrie smiled and looked a little flustered. Recently she has not been doing her normal Saturday morning shift, because she has been presenting in the week, although with Kate due to return, i imagine she will return to Friday and Saturday. It is a shame Carrie and Simon have such good chemistry.

Carrie has been on most weeks with Simon in the morning. I would imagine she'll be given more time off soon though, as Kate will be back in now her stint on Breakfast has finished for the time being.

Haha, yes that's about as imaginative as the BBC are when it comes to programme names:
1 Xtra
5 Live Sports Extra
HARDtalk Extra
BBC News Extra
Extra Time
BBC Ten O'Clock News Extra
Just spotted Ellie on News 24 up to 5 o'clock, followed by Newsround half an hour later. (A report just referred to "an old boy band called Boyzone". That makes me feel old.)

They could always follow Radio 4's example and have an 'Answer Time', as with 'Any Questions?' and 'Any Answers?'. That'd tick the audience participation box.
