Reference the post about a further roll out of graphics, captions, etc. I was watching the World/News 24 overnight simulcast last night and at about 8.20am my time (4.20am UK) a totally new Aston-type graphic appeared (I think crediting a correspondent) bleeding to the right, but about 1/3 of the way up the screen and only extending half way across. It did seem to follow the visual language, typography and colourways of the new graphics package, but was totally different in terms of animation and position.
The point is, it was early and I had been up half the night trying to catch the lunar eclipse. So did I dream it?
Very sensitive handling of that "Your Story" on N24 about Keiton just now. Black screen at the end of the report for a while and then a silent sting........and it was from Plymouth this week!
Just a question - does the countdown go out live at GMT or 3 seconds late due to the satellite relay time?
TX is on the dot, so someone getting a direct analogue feed from TV Centre would get it bang on the hour - or if they were watching analogue network BBC1 overnight. However, with the digital delay it can be as many as six seconds late. I'd love it if someone could invent a box that will decode in a miniscule amount of time (like a hundredth of a second) and someone to install the same kind of equipment in TVC, it could help the clock sneak back in through the back door.
Slight change in pitch here. Given that News 24 is 10 years old this 9th November. Do you think we will see any special presentation to mark the occasion? Maybe even a slight airing for the flags (ok i think im living in a dream world on that one). Honestly though do you think it will get some kind of marking on the day like GMTV did with Ten years at the top.
