Liking most of these new graphics a lot - a lot more elegant than what they had before. New titles are fantastic too - even if they remind me a little of some Sky News titles from the past.

I'd say the Breaking News strap is the only weak link at the moment - just doesn't look as classy and well thought-out as the rest.

There is now a blog from Richard Porter - 'Head of BBC News', explaining some of the changes:

My tickler seems to be fine, from where I'm sitting. Pneumonia almost cleared up, still have a bit of a cough, just sitting here, watching N24 and listening to George Harrison's "While My Catarrh Gently Weeps".

Glad everyone seems generally pleased. But it's not over yet...

Credit has to go to Mac 1 who did a lot of the hands on work (which is why he's in such a grump now), Col Mustard who developed the housestyle, Paula who took up the reins when I went ill, Chris who did the build in VizRT and special thanks to Lee Seaman for bouncing around some early ideas with me.

Sorry, didn't mean that to turn into an acceptance speech!

Will update my website sometime today if anyone is interested....

He doesn't say if they're getting the graphics though...

Breakfast remains the big fly in the ointment!

I must take a photo of the plasma in reception here at Dundee Uni. The old tower is burnt so badly into the screen. Plus there is now no clock at all because of the screen being setup incorrectly.

Although I plan to try to remedy this, using the missing clock as an argument...

I didn't realise that the design team had a presence on TV Forum, congratulations on the great new look, i imagine you will find things to tweak, new graphics sets usually get tweaked in the first week or so.

Well done all involved!

Put your plasma "on snow" for an hour; that should fix it.
