Nope, I reckon that Jon Sopel and Louise Minchin still have the edge.
Have to agree.
But I do know what you mean about Ben and Joanna, its a good pairing (not the best on News 24), alot better then Emily and Ben.

On a different topic...does anyone else think that N24 have found a new dream couple - Ben Brown and Joanna Gosling... Better even than Jon and Louise I think.

Emily is now just doing Newsnight, News 24 and the National bulletins as and when...
RE Nicholas, he's going to be mainly doing weekend slots but will cover during the week too...

So is it true that Joanna has replaced Emily, or is it just part of the new BBC News presenter flexibility? If it's true, what's Emily gonna be doing?

Does anyone know if this will appear on the BBC News Video/Audio page? How did he cope with this 1.5 hours of news... bit much for him perhaps with the 10 as well. Seems a strange thing to have a News 24 Special on? Reckon he will front the 10 as well tonight?

Its not too much for him; I remember some presenters doing 5 hours during major breaking news. Anyway Huw has done this kind of thing before e.g 7/7, the day Tony Blair said he would stand down within a year. And still he has done the ten.

Sorry mansoor, I was just being sarcie, I knew that would provoke a comment like that. Still don't you think it is a strange, but not unimportant topic on which to have a special. I mean they have had all day to talk about this, and have done so, with the 5 o'clock bulletin (which I missed) surely they could have had a special then? How was ths special, anyone know if it is online, it isn't on the Video/Audio page of the BBC News Website yet... unless I have missed it!

See... did Huw manage it without falling asleep at the news desk, do the floor manager have to have someone poke him continually to ensure he didn't get forty winks during one of the reports.... I missed it as well, gathered it would be later when I saw the football 'over-run'.

And if I'm not mistaken, Huw's currently on News 24 on BBC2 at 12.45. Is he staying the night then?

I can't imagine how the poor possom copes, having to present for a whole 90 minutes until 6.30pm and then wait around to do another half an hour at 10.45. Wait a minute! You don't think he puts up with such hardships knowing a lovely 400,000 pound paycheque is his every year do you?
