I didn't realise that the Sunday AM set is dismantled before the Politics Show goes on air. I had always assumed the two sets were both up at the same time as they used separate ends of the studio. Clearly I thought it was wider than it is.

Where you getting that idea from? To my knowledge the Sunday AM set is behind that purple wall on the right

So, TC7, this is the Newsnight studio too, and the old Breakfast studio?

Well all they really remove is the furniture, you can still see the fake wooden pillars making the set look like a window.

N6 has a grey floor, and that, I think, is the set for Breakfast , the One , the Six and the Ten .

Before May 2006, Breakfast was in TC7. I'm not sure what TC7 looks like now. But we can tell from the photographs that Newsround , Newsnight and Sunday AM probably come from the same studio (the black floor). It may be TC7 after a refit, I'm unsure.

Edit: oops *face turns red*, I accidentally called N6 TC6. Sorry...

TC7 is the studio pictured. It is home to Sunday AM, the Politics Show, Working Lunch, the BBC one edition of Newsround and Newnight. Can't think of anything else that comes from there

Are the cameras still in the same position as before the new look? I was thinking that when Breakfast used TC7 it appeared to be a longer studio (ie the cameras are at a 90 degree angle to what they are now) whereas now it seems to be wider. It might just be me imagining things though.

I think before the position of cameras was probably more varied, where as the video wall now dictates camera positioning much more to all programmes.

The studio itself measures 60ft by 40ft, if I remember rightly.

Bit of general knowledge.

I feel that the clock on BBC News24 is terrible. It looks like a bad copy of how Sky News have their clock. They should move it back to the neat way it was.

Can anyone tell me why over the weekend BBC News24 was in what I think is the Newsnight/Newsround studio? The backdrop looked awful. Couldn't the BBC with ther millions of pounds spent on News each year find a proper stand-by studio? This has happened before and makes BBC News24 look amateur. What do you think?

Can anyone suggest an alternative? A new second studio? At least until the move to the new BBC News Headquarters in Broadcasting House in two years?
