I'm actually very pleasantly surprised by today's revamp. I was expecting the titles to be the same as the 1, 6 & 10, but with a 24 on at the end.

The TOTH sequence is pacy, dramatic and has a great sense of urgency. At last!

Sky News very much dropped the ball when it came to the TOTH. Looks like News 24's caught it.

Like I said, this business of reading out text messages before the weather is just annoying.

I'm suffering from the same problem - although not quite as bad. For me, the N24 logo is right on the bottom edge of my screen, but it's the LIVE | Location bug that are affected most - there's at least a third of it missing on both of my televisions.

I quite like what I've seen so far - a pretty decent refresh. I like the new ticker arrangement, although I have my doubts that the clock will remain outside the safe areas for much longer. Mind you, there was plenty of complaining from the public about the 3D weather views when they were introduced, and the BBC stuck to its guns then, so who knows.

I think the graphics are a little more bland than I was expecting; while I like the animations for sport and business straps, I'm less keen on the 'standard' straps all in black.

I'm also not a huge fan of the ITV/Sky style headlines/coming up graphics, but I'm sure I'll become accustomed to it soon enough.

I think the titles have been nicely updated too, and the increased pace in the music is a welcome improvement.

Very disappointed with the treatment of breaking news though, particularly the rather unstriking single red block for the information strap. Bit of a backward step.

All in all though, a nice set of changes, but there's still a little room for improvement over a few minor gripes.

More breaking news there - the new music used for it certainly grabs my attention more than the old style, even if the graphic isnt as obvious.

I like the texts feature actually. It shows people are watching for one thing.

Has there been an OB from or interview with a foreign location? I hope they put the local time on screen as they do on BBC World. The BBCi 2 minute news doesn't have updated titles yet I've noticed.

I like this update, it's very slick. The one thing I would have liked to see is a different fade from titles to studio shot at the TOTH. The way it's done on the nationals with the image breaking up is especially good, I wish the relaunch had gone down the same path. I'm glad though they made the move away from 4:3 safe areas, it had to be done at some point and it's quite brave of them to be the first to do it. So I guess this is the last major change until the biggest change of all with the move to Broadcasting House?
