God this really annoys me - widescreen has been going for 10 years now and still we are at the status quo of having graphics all lined up for the minority of people who still have 4:3 sets - it looked alot better before they moved it - now less than half the screen has the ticker on it.

What's more - someone with a 4:3 set must be able to see very little in the way of ticker now too so it all seems a bit pointless.

MOVE IT BACK!!


Or stop the nonsense and get rid of it completely. It's hardly a 100% necessary item and people will soon adapt from switching on their tvs and flicking to News 24 to find out what time it is.

News 24 will be coming from N6 this weekend from 0600.
Its because of Phase II of the Electrical Testing.
NO SET CHANGES ARE HAPPENING - N8 will be SHUT!

Can they use the N8 gallery when in N6? i.e. can they keep using their new graphics or do they have to use a simpler version from N6?

Well that's 32 pages less to read this weekend then! What's the testing for? Is there still some power problems lerking in Stage 6?

If they want to have the clock there they should do it like what I've done below.. get rid of the 24. I've moved the logo up and the clock to the same level which means the ticker text can remain the **** size they have now and line up with the time and logo, which i've also moved up. I hope you understand!

No routing make it hell and anyway kit in N8 is turned OFF for the testing.
VIZ is available in N6 but not under aurtomation control so expect simpler versions of stuff and all VIZ output done manually by a text producer.

Well if the graphics are the same look as N24's i'll be annoyed at the national news not using it.

I hope there is no major breaking news events, the poor staff members will be off their butts running about like crazy.

I am not keen on the backing, it seems like a resized image. Also with breakfast, why cant they use the Breakfast backing from their usual studio.

Same backdrop - have no caps sorry.

I see they've changed the clock again so that it's now on the other side of "BBC NEWS 24" actually on the ticker in a black box. I'm not sure about it but I suppose I'll get used to it.
