The 'slice' of globe, previously above the Tower, which is used when there's a map on screen needs sorting. Now the Tower has gone, it just floats on it's own! It needs to be made the same width of the new DOG and go the full height of the screen.

I think I've posted before about how the N24 countdown looks incredibly outdated with these new graphics. And I've just had an idea...

I've just stumbled upon an old clip of the 99-03 Lambie-Nairn countdown. And it looks remarkably like that bit at the beginning of the titles when the data stream is about to emerge from behind the globe.

I knew the titles reminded me of something other than Sky News...

So,

WM Tim Willcox has the misfortune to spend the evening in the Suffolk Countryside tonight... poor guy looked frozen at 7pm - hope he has copious quantities of Coffee to see him through till (I presume) the 11pm slot!

As for me - I think that it should be stretched out to the edge of the ticker and to the top of the screen and somehow linking in with the new look.

I'll try and do a mock to show you what I mean.

yes that is a problem. They are still working on the tweaks, so i'm sure it will change soon.

Those maps won't be around for much longer anyway .

I know that until Vizrt is used to it's full at N24 they are doing their best to bridge the gap, and to make all of the graphics look at their best.

And ya know what!? If the ticker and dog aren't there the bottom bit is completely black!
