Just a quick note, could anybody upload the NEWS 24 titles and sting so I can save them to my hard disc, i.e not on youtube?

Thanks

Anyone else having problem texting the new number yet? I keep getting 'sending failed'. It is 61124 isn't it?

I think the new graphics set is a great improvement on the last, which I wasn't too keen on anyway. The design is much better, and today it all looked very nice all worked well together. When the Cardinal was on, the phone graphics and background looked great and was just the refresh that I think it needed.
Also, I like the new titles. It's a shame the shwoosh things aren't used a bit more though eg. in the projector background and sports stings.

looks perfect on my dads plasma, there was a problem yesterday with the LIVE bug, but it's perfect for me.

The ticker is still too low to be asthetically pleasing. The logo is touching the bottom of my screen, which looks odd.

I also think that this is a step up from what it was before, I am pleased to see the globe back a la the second generation ident set, but I still have my doubts over the 'fan' surrounding it for the title splash.

It's also good in my opinion that they are finally making use of the entire width of the available screen space. Stopping some way across on astons wasn't doing it for me.

The one thing that is really annoying me at the moment however is the overlay dog for breaking new, they have this new ident set and it seems to have been dropped on there without so much as a thought; a la

If you'll forgive me the posting and artwork injustice, I think they could at least tidy that up a bit in line with the new look. (I know it's outside of the safe zone, just doodling)

Has anyone else noticed that they almost seem to be using Arial?

It's always good to see David Lowe evolving the theme set, and the faster TOTH is a decided (and much needed) improvment.

Now to get some design quality back into the set *shivers*

The "standard" BBC font has been Gill Sans since 1997, and although they're beginning to move away from it, the [B][B][C] logo and a few other bits'n'pieces are still GS - and much of the stuff in that screenshot (though not all) looks like GS or a close variant to me.

Just to show you, this is what I can see, roughly, though the bottom is a bit higher.

If you can imagine the above image with the old look, that is what I used to be able to see, never bothered me, now I'm missing part of the ticker (see a couple of pages ago for my example!) I hope they might raise it a little bit.

Just gotta say, I love the local time on the "LIVE" astons. (strips?)

Question: Have they settled down yet in terms of the gap to the left of the BBC symbol int he ticker? It seems much cleaner with that gap added.

Hehe. Just a question for all of you with WS-CRT safe area problems: How's Sky News looking for you?

On the reference monitor here at work, the edge of the station ident logo is touching and getting cut off, and I believe the ticker is just as close to the edge as BBC now?
