Not sure why it happened at all. It wasn't explained when they came back live again and no obvious changes were present on screen that they could have made.

On a different topic who presented the morning shift this morning instead of Kate, as it seems she won't be returning. Was it Carrie?

She's moving to do the 8pm bulletin. On her website it says;

Kate Silverton will present the new 8pm bulliten from 10th December to March 2008 when she will present the One O'Clock News while Sophie Raworth takes maternity leave. Kate will continue to report for Panorama and carry out more foreign assignments for BBC News.


As you can see, no mention of further News 24 work, so it looks like, except for maybe the odd cover shift, she won't be appearing any longer.

We had Carrie yesterday and Rachel this morning - so I'm guessing a combination of the two maybe with Maxine doing some mornings as well. This may change though when Joanna and Anitta go on maternity leave in the coming weeks.

I have finally found a picture of N24 in N6 during the cream look.with Moira

looks quite smart but the backdrop looks a bit to zoomed in.

Yeah that's from Breakfast in the days of the News 24 briefing. Though it looks like its not from the very beginning because at the very outset they had a ticker at the bottom and a side bar (IIRC)

Are you sure,i am sure breakfast breifing did not havve that cream wall with the 24 logo on it-but that does look like the wall in N6 which had th cream globe on it during the nationals.
