I thought origionally that they were quite far away from eachother because I have heard thay they are in different newsrooms to eachother.
In the old 1999-2003 N24 set could you see the start of worlds newsroom in the the far right of the set.
Why if they are so close did they bother moving bbc news 24 back in 1998 then.

N8 and N9 are on the second floor of stage 6 about twenty seconds walk away from each other, N6 is underneath.

Thinking out of the box for a minute or two .....
How about a simulcast of News24 and fivelive for some of the day? I think Simon Mayo's programme in the afternoon would translate to Television well. Items in depth but still able to run rolling news when it needs too.
I do realise that fivelive going off to Manchester makes this seem a dream but I'd like to see an experiment anyway.

Oh for God's sake, why the hell is Sissons still on News 24?
After stumbling along with a promotion for a programme later on News 24, he then said: "Now it's time for the weather with... um.... *pause, looks elsewhere*... who's doing the weather for us?"
After an awkward gap the weather presenter comes on with the words: "Yes indeed... now the weather".
Mind you the way he looks so much like a fish out of water is almost getting to the stage of being endearing now. But if something massive breaks on a Saturday afternoon, like it did with the Glasgow Airport attacks, you fear the worst.
