It's that top gear thing where JC drove the smallest car in the world round TV Centre

That photo was on Flickr for quite a while before that ep aired. I remembered showing it to someone but then couldn't find it when the ep did air!

Thanks, I thought it was Chris Hollins taking a short cut from the Breakfast studio in his car.

During the hourly countdown, it shows a behind the scenes clip of Matt Frei standing in a tiny studio in front of the Whitehouse. I always thought it was a blue screen job until I saw that. How do they do it? Is it on a roof top, or a crane with a platform on it?

It's a roof top position ... but there is also a CSO version that is used sometimes but if it's on the main bulletins it tends to be real.

Does anyone accually no how far all of the studios are away from each other.
N8 and N9 must be close to eachother because they are both in the newsroom?

N8 and N9 are on the second floor of stage 6 about twenty seconds walk away from each other, N6 is underneath.

Did anyone else notice how Jane Hill did no interviews to do with the Football today?? Matthew did it all, which meant he was doing pretty much everything seeing as they were virtually rolling with it. i thought Jane had disappeared for a while until she came back to read a few texts. Clearly not a football fan!

I've been watching Carrie Gracie and Simon McCoy for 2 weeks now, as they share the morning segment of N24, and it has to be said - they are an incredible pairing, and should be given that slot permanently. Carrie works so much better that Kate Silverton, there is chemistry between her and Simon, and it really shows on air.

On another presenter matter, and I know it's been discussed - Gavin Hewitt! What nut put him behind the desk. He really is the worst presenter I have ever seen, actually up there with Libby Weiner when she did a few stints at ITN. Would someone at the Beeb take note and keep this man off our screens. He is an excellent Special Correspondent, but not fit to present news at all. He is so awful he makes me want to turn off.

I agree, they are such a good pairing. Shove Silverton somewhere else.

I completely agree, Newsroom. As a typical student, I don't get up early so my breakfast news is usually that shift on News 24. A few months ago, I criticised Simon and Kate because I felt as though they were were really boring and made the channel seem really slow. However, I've completely changed my opinion of Simon since Carrie came on the scene. Simon obviously gets along better with Carrie than Kate and the whole feel of the channel has changed. They're excellent presenters, ask the key questions to guests and they have a good laugh along the way. Let's hope this is the permanent arrangement now, as I'd hate for them to go back to Kate and make a return to Snooze 24.
