Good blooper at 2327 last night. Tomasz Schafernaker introduces the weather, clicks his clicker several times, looks at it, then says "Oops sorry I've got the wrong clicker, excuse me while I go and get the right one". He then goes off screen and returns a second later, blushing Very Happy

Brilliant. I love him doing the weather. Last night he pointed at a blob of rain over Wales and said, "As you can see it will be a bit rainy in...in...[PAUSE]...the hills of Wales." Bit of a mind blank. Smile

Well at least it wasn't another "nowheresville" of past fame and vitriol.

May be nobody made a big deal out of it because it was a crap pairing. Maxine and Louise were only mentioned because they were making little jokes out of it.

Yes, two females presenting together is nothing new. In recent times, Sophie Raworth and Sian Williams have presented Breakfast together, as have Natasha Kaplinsky and Mishal Husain. Going further back in time, the Six O'Clock News was regularly presented by Anna Ford with either Jennie Bond, Moira Stuart, Jill Dando. As you said, Kate Silverton and Carrie Gracie were probably pretty boring together, whereas Louise Minchin and Maxine Mawhinney were very good and made a few jokes out of the situation.

Yep - two women presenting is probably more frequent than two men - though David Robertson and Chris Eakin used to co-present News 24 Breakfast on occasions.
