Well OK maybe not to the UK audience. All three of them that stay up that late, but this new schedule does seem to be shifting from "BBC News 24 on BBC World " to "BBC World on BBC News 24" Hope it keeps up although I reckon that weekend similcasts may stay in N8 as the overnight presenter usually does an hour exclusive on News 24 first so it seems silly to get them to move downstairs.

It used to be more common for N9 to be used at weekend overnights than it is now. Not sure why but it certainly used to appear more than it does now. Although i doubt many people who watch N24 overnight (TV Forumers excluded) would even notice there in a different studio sometimes.

The overnight service only usually moves to the BBC World studio when the News 24 area needs maintenance or upgrades to either basic building infrastructure (air con) or gallery / floor kit (safety testing electrical gear, installing new graphics kit etc.) Of course this also happens in the BBC World studio - but they aren't on-air 24/7 so can do this in their downtime.
I was sure when Karin updated the headlines in the middle of WNA she was in N8. but by TOTH she had moved to N9.
Anyroad has the NY-LON WBR been axed from News 24 schedule?
Not sure where to put this, but there will be no November election. BBC were first to report the news breaking into Your News at about 345. Adam Boulton and Nick Robinson at Downing Street.
Andrew Marr came out of Downing Street, told Adam Boulton (and anyone else listening) that Gordon Brown will not be calling an election. Adam Boulton then went to air on Sky News and confirmed the news (we also saw Andrew Marr give a wave to Sky News when his name was mentioned).
Meanwhile, over on BBC News 24. "We are just waiting for Andrew Marr to be miked up and put his earpiece in".
It was only a matter of 30 seconds or so (how long does it take to put an earpice in?) but I found it funny that Sky News still got the breaking news first even when the Prime Minister gave an exclusive interview to the BBC.
