Why does the rolling headlines still use the old titles? Why can't they follow BBC Worlds example?

Yes, the Headlines loop is a bit of a mess graphic-wise.

The Astons are still based on the grey and black design from the 1, 6 & 10 before the current revamp.

They do always seem a bit slow to change things on there though. It also took them a long time to update from the orange to the red titles a few years back

Anyone see the live speech on N24 just now from Liverpool? One of the POA members announced the prison officers wouldn't be backing down, and in response to the court injunction said "Tell them to shove it up their arses!" LOL.

They just cut back to the studio and the news reader said: "I don't know whether that is the official reaction of the Prison Officers Assocation, but, er..."

Update: Now the news reader (I can't remember his name) is quoting it as "Tell them to go shove it up their dot dot dot dot" Rolling Eyes Arse isn't a swear word.

I have just laughed and laughed! Jon Sopel deserves a medal! An interview he just conducted with someone from the POA lasted forever. He repeatedly asked the same question but to no avail. He then played the 'stick it up their a'se' tape and continued the interview. It came close to Paxman with John Howard years back!

Bravo Sopel!!!! More more more!

It was a very good interview, did love the bit when he quoted the interviewee who then denied he said it, before then saying he was being misquoted!

I missed the interview but it sounds like Jon was at his best. That's why he's one of my favourite presenters - authorative, good interviewer and able to have some personality and humour.

... and Charlie S is on on a Sunday evening too, I'm pretty sure that's a first, as for Mishal she's been on N24 several times before.

Heard the breaking news music for the first time in months just then! While I think its not as dramatic as the original 2003 version, I still think they should use it every time breaking news is announced.
