It doesn't make any difference to you or I, and I agree that is how the should do it all the time, but I was merely pointing out instead of regional news they have the weather on the Sunday 10, then a proper close of the bulletin.

Woah, a clean junction tonight at the end of the simulcast Ten. Don't usually see it on a Sunday night so not sure if it always happens like this?

Sophie said the usual, "Coming up on News 24 after this program, the latest on Hurricane Dean...", with the fake News 24 strap - then as soon as she finished, with the pictures of the Hurricane and strap still on screen, they just cut straight to N8 and the presenters said, "Thanks Sophie". We didn't get any of the "...stay with us here on BBC One for the news where you live" or any closing titles.

Much better, they should always do it like that.

WAS SOPHIE DOING THE TEN? I MISSED THAT GUTTED

Must everything you post reference Sophie Rayworth? It has been established that she is not moving.

Jeremy Thompson just anchored briefly on N24.

Allow me to explain, just as they were due to start Film24 there was breaking news about the arrest of a suspect in relation to the Liverpool murder, but as Film24 is recorded to be shown again later on N24 and the web there was no explanation of the strap. The police were giving a news conference and Film24 was quickly ended with Peter Sissons trying to record a good ending and then throw to the conference, but by this stage the conference had ended with the policewoman saying "thank you" and Jeremy Thompson stepped in front of the mics to do a live piece to camera for Sky, which N24 had a few seconds of before throwing to the weather with no link, and then back to Peter to explain "what just happened."

If ever there was an example of why Film24 or similair features should be pre-recorded that was it.

Peter Sissons has just asked Fiona Trott, providing updates from Liverpool on the Rhys Jones' murder, what the principle developments have been this afternoon. Had to laugh at her response "What we've learned is what a tragic case this is... he was in the wrong place at the wrong time". Tell us something we don't know love!

OK the presenter is being asked to throw to sport, but the Sports presenter is not there.

How does the presenter subtlety let the director know the Sports presenter is missing without the viewer realising anything is wrong.

A master class from one of the veterans

I still think Sissons is better than many of the fluffy presenters they have on N24, Sky or ITV despite his errors. It wasn't his fault Film24 can't be cut into, and many an esteemed presenter has been thrown by the sports or weather presenter being in the wrong place, thats the gallery's fault for not making that clear.
