Asia Today Special live from Delhi at 2.30am!

Notice the teeny mishap during the opening titles anybody?

It may of been 2.30am in th UK but remember it went on BBC World and would be start of the day for most in that region!

Of course I know that but they'd still need a team in London to look after it all from a technical POV.

The DOG change? I remember somthing similar happening around the time of the first similcasts after the new black clock was introduced. It appeared, dissapeared BBC News 24 became BBC World before finally they settled on BBC NEWS DOG with no clock. I also remeber that, like in the mishap above, the ticker kept streaming as normal you could even see the title piece (Headlines, Business, Sport) move when the clock came up or went down. Weird to watch. Wonder why they would have that sort of function. Its not as if they are about to announce that BBC World is to become BBC News 24 or vice versa anytime soon.

Its facinating how this ticker at the bottom works, clearly BBC News 24 can put on BBC World's DOG and ticker effortlessly it seems, also I presume BBC World can also do the same, the best thing is though the ticker comes up on top, so World can take a clean feed but with the Virtz and Big Ted graphics.

Woah, a clean junction tonight at the end of the simulcast Ten. Don't usually see it on a Sunday night so not sure if it always happens like this?

Sophie said the usual, "Coming up on News 24 after this program, the latest on Hurricane Dean...", with the fake News 24 strap - then as soon as she finished, with the pictures of the Hurricane and strap still on screen, they just cut straight to N8 and the presenters said, "Thanks Sophie". We didn't get any of the "...stay with us here on BBC One for the news where you live" or any closing titles.

Much better, they should always do it like that.
