Also noticed that all the main bulletins are comfortably ahead of their ITV counterparts...but i presume that those figures don't include (the small?) ammount of viewers watching the programme on N24?

Any calculations based on audio-sensors would be as they differ to the more popular channel in simulcasts.
Its a shame the Six is building a lead over ITV's Evening News, we're unlikely to see the Six stop treating its viewers like children if it wins the ratings war.

They seem to have changed the presentation style on the Six lately and refrained from starting the programme as if they were two teachers standing at the front of the classroom. The standing sequences seem to be limited to reports where they are using the screens to full effect.
I'm not sure whether the editorial style has been similarly affected yet to reverse the "dumbing down" policy.
