I just don't understand why people feel they have the right to credibly attack or make personal comments about someone they neither know nor have any real knowledge of.

I thought the forum was meant to be about TV presentation, not character assassination.

Does that not apply when people on here are criticising Peter Sissons?

I don't know, I read this forum very rarely, so I don't really get your reference, but if people started making personal attacks about him, I'd say so.

It's so cowardly to say these things none of you would dare say to their faces.

Is this the first time Dermot's ever presented on News 24?

The longest bbc news 24 countdown i've ever captured is from the day tony blair resigned (10.00 GMT). you can find it here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=PrdGsfHWU6Y
(55 seconds)

Forgive me if this has been posted before as I don't understand the obsession with countdowns, but after stumbling across this mock for Blair's departure wouldn't it be great to see the odd themed one.

We don't make personal attacks, but just comment on is regular bumbling on N24.

yesterday i came home early and saw sophie on n24 - i really do think she makes the screen light up imho. would like to see her more often as she's got a nice way about her. News doesnt seems so bad when she reads it..

Sophie is excellent on News 24 as she has demonstrated on several occasions.

I really can't help but think these 'news hours' should use the 1/6/10 presenters to better use - perhaps have the whole hour from N6 with the relevent presenter?

I saw one that started from 57 seconds the other day. They must be making some new trailers / promos, because the countdowns seem to be lasting longer in general recently.

IIRC the countdown changed last year - during the World Cup. And we didn't get anything for 9/11, 7/7 or TB's resignation? Tut tut.
